Which Exercises for Growing Taller Really Work?

Tuesday, January 17th, 2012

If you are a little on the short size, then it is understandable that you might want to see what life is like by being just a little bit taller. The sad truth is that men who are taller have many advantages that short men don’t have and that even by adding an inch or two to your frame, you might start seeing some of those advantages.

Do Exercises for Growing Taller Really Work?

Most men are prone to slouching (as are women), and if you spend a lot of time sitting at a desk, then you are probably even more prone. Therefore, you need to take a look at your body and see how your posture is and whether or not it can be improved. Exercising is great for this, since it helps to build more muscles, especially in your core, which can support more upright standing.

Which Exercises for Growing Taller Are Best?

The real key to growing taller by doing exercise is to both strengthen your core (your abdominal muscles), and also to decompress your joints and bones, including your spine. You can do this by doing things such as using an inversion table (where you hang upside down from your ankles), hanging from a chin-up rod, or even by doing Pilates or yoga.

What Else Can You Do?

Of course, if you are opting for exercising for growing taller, you should know that it won’t give you overnight results. Therefore, you might also want to incorporate something called LiftKits into your wardrobe. These are small, invisible lifts that fit right into your shoes and add between an inch and two inches to your height. You can use them with any type of shoes – even your athletic shoes – and no one will know why you are walking with a new sense of confidence.

Wondering How to Grow Taller?

Friday, October 21st, 2011

How to grow taller …….The unfortunate truth is that everyone has a predetermined height that they will grow to as an adult, and if you are not happy with how tall you turned out to be in adulthood, you only have genetics to blame. If you are truly struggling to grow in childhood, your parents can take you to a doctor to look into growth hormone injections. Once your body has stopped growing in adulthood, though, you cannot physically make yourself grow taller. The only thing you can do at that point is attempt to look taller through other means. There are several ways you can do this.

Some people may start out trying to look taller by wearing shoes with a little larger heel or by teasing their hair up a bit higher. Most people, however, don’t want to make their attempts at looking taller quite so obvious, so other means are preferable. You can consider other options such as buying shoes with a built-in lift, and these shoes can add anywhere from an inch to almost five inches to your height. You can also find height-boosting inserts that can be added to your shoes, too. These generally will be added to close-toed shoes, and the height boost may be a little less than when the insole is already built into the shoe. The reason for this is because traditional shoes generally only have about three inches or four inches along the heel, and the insert and your shoe have to fit inside the shoe.

So many people today are unhappy with their final adult height, and if you are, you should take a look at what some of these height-boosting options can do for you. It’s really amazing what just a few more inches in height can do for your confidence level and how others perceive you, too.

What you need to know about buying & wearing LiftKits

Make sure to follow the “How to wear” category on the LiftKits blog to stay up to date with the latest informtion on how to best wear your LK’s.

Before buying LiftKits know that:

1. They come in Pairs

2. They are 1 size fits all (they fit in 9 1/2 up but can bee trimmed to fit smaller size – see blog article below)

3. They are meant for Men (Womens are coming in October)

4. Lo-Top models are made for either low ankle supported shoes (tennis shoes or other laced shoes) or high ankle supported shoes (Boots, High-Tops etc…)

5. Hi-Top models are made only for high ankle supported shoes like boots and high tops

6. if you are buying for loafers, slip-ons or well fitted dress shoes you may want to wait to purchase our ‘Universal’ product coming this October. Also see info below on wearing Liftkits.

7. If you have any questions or concerns before buying dont hesitate to contact us for advice – info@myliftkits.com We like helping out and sometimes it takes a bit of coaching to get it right. See our faq’s for additional information.

When wearing LiftKits know that:

1. It helps to experiment (try different shoes -LK’s dont always work in the 1st pair of shoes you throw them in)

2. Let the insole settle & mold to both your shoe and foot. You will notice it fitting better after a few times of use.

3. loosen your laces (this creates less pressure and more room for the top of your foot)

4. buy a half to full size bigger shoe to create more room in your shoe for both the lift and your foot.

5. start with the lesser lift and move up as you feel more comfortable wearing them.

If the shoe fits, wear it…

Saturday, May 2nd, 2009

Every shoe is slightly different as is every foot. Some feet are more narrow, flat, fat and long. This alone makes shopping for shoes and fitting into them some what of a chore. This is why we try on every pair of shoes, just as we do with jeans before making the final decision; isn’t it?

Adding something as small as an arch support supplement or a Dr. Scholl’s for cushion can throw that fit off. So, when you add a 1″ or 2″ height increasing insole to the mix you want to pay special attention to what shoes you are wearing the inserts in and how you intend to wear them.

Follow the steps below to get the most out of your height increasing shoe insoles.

1. Pick what shoes you are going to wear

Your first step is to pick out what shoes you are going to wear. If a lo-top or regular sneaker, you will want to not wear an insert that is more than 1″ tall. The two biggest factors when adding an insert to your shoe is to make sure that there is enough room in the heel of your shoe so that you do not step out of your shoes as you walk and that you are not creating too much pressure in the tongue of your shoe.

2. Test the fit of the insert in your shoe

Slide the LiftKits inserts into your shoes. One size fits most shoes (usually size 8 US Mens and up). If your shoes are smaller than size 8 you may need to trim to fit as outlined in steps 3 and 4.

3. In the case the insert is too large for the shoe, assess how much you will need to shorten the insert by

If the insert fits in the shoe appropriately there is no need for trimming.

4. Follow the guided lines, trim with regular scissors

5. Re-insert the insole into shoe to confirm the fit is perfect – try on shoes and you’re ready to go!

If the insole fits the shoes but the shoes are uncomfortable try these tips.

*If the insert takes up too much room in your shoes you can try:

1. Wearing a shoe that is a half size bigger (this usually cures any comfort issues as the the heel of the insert lifts your foot up and pushes your foot forward at the same time, so by purchasing a larger shoe you are creating more room and ridding yourself of these issues).
2. Loosen your laces or don’t lace them all the way to the top to create more room for your foot
3. Try the insert in a high top, boot or higher ankle support shoe if there doesn’t appear to enough room in the heel of your shoe.

*some Lo-Tops have too low of ankle support for even the 1″ shoe lift. Because of this we are working on a new lift that fits in even the lowest ankle supported shoes; like Converse Chuck T Low Tops, slip on Vans and some dress shoes. Keep an eye out for this announcement coming soon.
